can’t breathe

I know the blogging has been less than stellar here lately.  There just seems to be other things getting in the way of me and the Internets.  Tonight it’s Monday Night Football and a massive battle with asthma.  Neither has anything to do with the other.  I don’t have as severe a case as some people but it is still a scary thing for me.  Last night it kept me awake for a good while.  My chest gets very tight and my breathing gets short and shallow.  I am supposed to be taking Asmanex on a regular basis but haven’t been all that faithful for whatever reason.  I also have an Albuterol inhaler that I’m pretty sure I use more than my doctor would like.  This week the evil asthma has been unusually aggressive and I’m calling the doctor tomorrow to see if there’s anything I can do until I get back on the right track with the Asmanex.  Why I’m sharing this here I don’t know.  Its just when I can’t breathe that’s all I can think about.

  1. I know this sounds stupid, but I am asthmatic as well and you know what has helped incredibly? Milk thistle. it’ll give you nasty lung oysters but it really is amazing….

  2. Ugh! I’m sorry. :(!! Hope doc gives you some good advice to get this under control.
    Get well soon!!

  3. Hey, I have been diagnosed with severe atopic allergic rhinitis which is hard enough to deal with but recently I have been experiencing a tightness in my chest and am unable to breathe in deeply (its like I am not able to get a satisfying amount of air into my lungs) and when I put in extra effort to breath in deeply…I get this dull achy feeling. What I would like to know is, do I exhibit any symptoms similar to asthma?
